DescriptionHudson River Trading LLC seeks a Senior Accountant to: Analyze and prepare cash reconciliations and complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and other reports for financial auditing. Use sophisticated spreadsheet techniques and complicated finance and accounting principles to analyze monthly prepaids, accruals and other cost related items. Gather and analyze financial and operational data to develop initiatives for improving the efficiency and overall effectiveness of the company’s financial and accounting operations. Perform ad hoc reporting, and execute accounting and auditing projects that require comprehensive data analysis. Perform month-end closing procedures including financial statement preparation, cash and position reconciliations, entering income and expense accruals, preparing capital allocation schedules and performing reporting and accounting responsibilities associated with regulated and non-regulated entities. Assist with the preparation of external account audits and prepare information and documentation required in connection with global tax return filings.Qualifications Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Economics, Financial Accounting, or a related field, plus two (2) years of experience in the position offered or as a Staff Accountant, or related experience. All required experience must have included: Experience generating key reports for financial auditing. Experience writing data analytics and reporting scripts using SQL to automate financial audit testing through relational database management system. Experience using the following technical skills: Power BI, Alteryx, and SQL. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure. Employer will accept any amount of professional experience with the required skills.

Minimum Salary: 119,000 Maximum Salary: 135,000 Salary Unit: Yearly
