Wells Fargo Securities Sales Analyst in NEW YORK, New York

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Securities Sales Analyst to join our Municipal trading desk as part of Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB).

In this role, you will:

  • Work with Wells Fargo trade settlements team and customers a daily basis to ensure the timely settlement of trades

  • Monitor trades daily to ensure accuracy and decrease trade discrepancies

  • Handle customer trade allocations to ensure proper settlement

  • Manage the RTTM daily breaks flow with the P&S group

  • Build new customer accounts in the POQ system and manage the onboarding/ AML process for new investor clients

  • Complete requests for updating documentation and customer account information from our Business Partners in Compliance, AML and Client accounts

  • Work with the Muni Middle Office team to keep MSRB late trades for the sales desk to a minimum

  • Assist the sales team and traders by entering in Muni Trades into all systems

  • Provide back up sales coverage for the Sales Team

  • Place orders for New Issue deals in IPREO when requested by the sales team.

  • Increase overall Muni product knowledge by learning about new products, updates in credit, Market trends and movements, etc.

  • Work on ad hoc projects for the sales team and business as assigned

  • Develop an understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for the supported area

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

  • Interact with external customers

  • Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of Securities Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous trading floor, middle office, or back-office trade support experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of securities products and services

  • Knowledge of Municipal products

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to work effectively independently, as well as in a team environment

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Bachelor's Degree with academic distinction and coursework in financial accounting and corporate finance; MBA or CFA a plus

  • Fully proficient in standard MS Office and Excel

Job Expectations:

  • Registration for FINRA Series 7, 63, 52 and SIE exams must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.

  • Ability to work additional hours as needed

  • Base pay range for this position in New York is 110,000.00 - 125,000.00 USD

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$84,000.00 - $179,200.00
