Credit Suisse Sales & Trading Associate in New York, New York
Provide trade execution services to clients for investment grade fixed income products on Bloomberg TOMS and calculate profit and loss (PNL) for the Global Credit Products desk. Collaborate with Sales and Strategy teams to generate trades (curve and inter-sector trades) while monitoring balance sheet, risk, and desk inventory. Understand and parse new economic information and key sector and industry developments to make trading calls. Provide live buy/sell quotes to clients for investment grade corporate debt on dollar price, G-spread, and bench spread versus U.S. treasuries and execute trades. Analyze buy/sell quotes across company capital structures and construct and interpolate corporate debt curves versus comps and other metrics to determine best pricing and execution. Monitor risk and hedge out positions through other assets classes such as U.S treasuries. Monitor macroeconomic events (changes in interest rates and inflation) to gauge impact on different asset classes. Communicate with Sales and clients about client portfolio allocation needs and facilitate execution through the trading desk. Work with analysis of financials and earnings of financial and insurance institutions; trades and calculation of PNL in fixed income markets; methodology of pricing securities and assets through understanding and interpolation of curves and use of metrics (Z-spread, G-spread, and Bench spread); and, Bloomberg TOMS.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematical Economics, or a related field of study, plus two (2) years of experience with analysis of financials and earnings of financial and insurance institutions; trades and calculation of PNL in fixed income markets; methodology of pricing securities and assets through understanding and interpolation of curves and use of metrics (Z-spread, G-spread, and Bench spread); and/or, Bloomberg TOMS. FINRA SIE, Series 7TO, and Series 63 licenses required.The salary range is $150,000 - $180,000 annually, based on various factors such as experience, education, skills, internal and external market data, etc.
