Amazon Risk Manager, NA DSP in New York, New York

This includes the Delivery Service Partner (DSP) program through which we empower entrepreneurs to launch their own package delivery companies.

We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our NA DSP team as a Risk Manager. This position will own critical tasks to help our team review certain legal and contractual compliance issues, support Amazon in dispute resolution efforts, and mitigate risk. A successful candidate will have a passion for diving deep into problem solving, finding ways to introduce structure in an ambiguous space, and developing standard processes and protocols.

Key job responsibilities

• Serve as the initial escalation point for DSP candidate, legal entity, and ownership issues;

• Deep dive and make determinations about ambiguous situations that contribute to program risk;

• Assist with discovery processes in the context of legal dispute resolution;

• Partner with internal program, tech, and legal teams to develop and improve processes that reduce risk;

• Analyze trends and produce strategic recommendations to proactively address systemic issues;

• Assist with data gathering and reporting to leadership and other stakeholders; and

• Partner with international teams as they seek to develop parallel risk-mitigating programs.

Basic Qualifications

• Risk management, legal, and/or audit background ideally from a corporate setting working with third-party vendors or supply chain;

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience;

• Experience working with a Case Management System or related software/platform;

• Experience with legal entities and dispute resolution processes;

• Experience conducting investigations, analyzing investigative data, and producing investigative documentation; and

• Strong communication, dive deep capabilities and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Juris doctor or other advanced degree or certification in the legal field

• CPA, CMA, CISA, CIA, CFE, or similar risk, audit or compliance credentials

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
