Arcadis is seeking a Regional Director of Construction Claims Services to join our Contract Solutions Team in North America. The core responsibilities will largely relate to leading a team of professionals in the delivery of claims consulting services for public and private sector projects across the United States. The workload will be varied and include technical advisory with flexibility to accommodate the specific skill sets and aspirations of the applicant.

Role description:

The successful candidate will be expected to have demonstrated leadership capabilities and have a broad range and experience with navigating complex claims issues on large scale capital construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for leading a team of colleagues across North America. Responsibilities may include client development, account leadership, and oversight of team leaders, development and maintaining a standard of practice to meet the evolving needs of our local and global clients.

Role accountabilities:

The position includes a high level of responsibility and accountability for the development and execution of business strategy, client development, service delivery, and team leadership within a well-established specialist team.

  • Exercise technical leadership in areas which may include expert witness, forensic schedule analysis, financial damages analysis, claims and dispute resolution, risk management, value engineering, and/or contracting excellence.
  • Ongoing implementation of high technical standards across the organization for excellence in service delivery. Standards are to align with global practices and industry best practices.
  • Establish, maintain, and oversee reporting standards to meet the needs of local and global clients. Embrace technology-enabled digital reporting solutions to streamline reporting and enhance deliverables.
  • Responsible for financial performance of the Contract Solutions services within a specified region of North America.
  • Manage and undertake professional technical consultancy commissions related to Contract Solutions services. Promote additional value-added solutions to new and existing customer base.
  • Coordinate with Arcadis Account Leaders, Project Managers, and Team Leaders to manage risk in service delivery and ensure efficient financial control resulting in a cost-effective and profitable service.
  • Communicate with client and team members to ensure all information is available for the successful implementation and completion of projects.
  • Collaboration with the Director of Client Relations to accelerate organic revenue growth and implementation of the business strategy in terms of the Contract Solutions offering.
  • Report quantified information on the progress of each contract to the Operations Director on a regular basis.


Qualifications & Experience:
  • A Bachelor or Masters' degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field is required.
  • Extensive experience in project controls, CPM scheduling, delay analysis, productivity analysis, claims, contracts, and dispute resolution.
  • Demonstrated experience in growing, developing, and leading successful teams of consulting professionals
    Experience with direct responsibility for financial performance including net order intake, revenue, and profitability.
  • A clear thinking person demonstrating attention to detail who is well organized and can operate independently under a broad direction.
