Full Job DescriptionJob#: 2051678Job Description:Apex Systems is seeking a Program Manager III local to NYC to join our large technology client!Please Note:Qualified candidates MUST HAVE3+ years of experience with engaging a global developer community both online and offline and 4+ years experience in product strategy, developer advocacy or equivalent work experience in product organization.Pay: $70-$75/hr. dependent upon experienceDuration:9 months with possible extensionJob Description:We are seeking a highly organized and motivated program manager to join the Metaverse Developer Programs team and support the Meta Horizon Start program. Start supports a global community of thousands of promising 3rd party developers as they build and ship high quality MR and VR experiences.In this role, you will build, manage, and nurture a healthy developer community by continuously working to understand and implement the needs of the developer community and drive business and product priorities. You will have the opportunity to help shape program goals and execute key initiatives, including virtual and in-person event activations (e.g., summits, hackathons).You should be comfortable working in a cross-functional capacity and have experience partnering with project teams composed of internal employees and external vendors. Your role will require building relationships and collaborating with Product, Engineering, Research, Support, Product Marketing, and Legal.The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about technology, technically inclined, and enjoys creating content for a technical developer audience.Responsibilities:Lead day-to-day community management activities and events, including hosting educational programming, providing community updates/reporting, coordinating projects, coordinating event logistics, and following up on action items from the community members where and when applicable.Foster a positive and inclusive community culture.Create playbooks for successfully executed projects and properly refine and document project management processes and standards.Develop and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with our internal partners and external vendors to drive collaboration and achieve project goals while working with the developer community.Minimum Qualifications:3+ years of experience with engaging a global developer community both online and offline.4+ years experience in product strategy, developer advocacy or equivalent work experience in product organization.Proven communication and problem-solving skills.Experience working cross-functionally, both internally and externally.BA/BS in Computer Science, Game Development or equivalent degree/experience.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in game development, developer advocacy, developer relations, product evangelism or technical product community building.Experience with developing and driving large scale programs or products in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.Exceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills - with the ability to develop strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and events simultaneously that meet or exceed business objectives.Demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations and action plans.Keen attention to detail.Exemplary written and oral communication, with experience writing developer-oriented content.Ability to escalate issues and risks appropriately.Experience working with Meta technologies and/or software development.EEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
