Description
Amazon Grocery Logistics is looking for a Program Manager with a strong delivery record and proven project management experience to own strategic, tactical, and cross-functional programs. The ideal candidate for this role is excited about the opportunity to make customer-facing changes and drive cost improvements for the business. This role requires scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks and process/product changes. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential.
A highly analytical candidate with program/project management or grocery operations experience is an ideal fit, as this role will require partnership with multiple teams (Tech, Operations, Analytics, Finance, Delivery, and other teams) to lead, influence, and support business critical projects and initiatives. Robust understanding of fulfillment operations including order fulfillment, inventory flows, quality, and long term roadmaps will help develop new innovations within complex ultra-fast operations.
Throughout the packaging lifecycle, the Program Manager monitors key performance metrics and continuously looks for ways to further improve sustainability, cost, and customer satisfaction. They serve as a trusted advisor to operations and retail teams, providing packaging expertise and guidance to support successful new launches and process optimization. Documentation of requirements, project management, and cross-team coordination skills are essential.
Key job responsibilities
Gathering and analyzing data across order fulfillment functions to establish baselines and develop improvement initiatives in partnership with cross functional teams.
Rethinking the grocery offerings we provide to customers to optimize for speed, convenience, and cost.
Analyze customer and operator feedback to proactively identify packaging improvement opportunities
Building strong partnership with operations field leaders to understand improvement opportunities.
Lead cross-functional project teams to develop, test, and launch new packaging solutions
Analyzing and solving operational barriers with a focus on understanding root causes and driving forward solves.
Monitor packaging performance metrics such as cost, waste reduction, and customer satisfaction
Designing new metrics and enhancing existing metrics to support the future state of the business.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of program or project management experience
3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
3+ years of driving process improvements experience
Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
