NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing Production Center Manager in New York, New York

Position Summary

Manage day-to-day operations of Production Center for Tisch School of the Arts: develop and implement operational and creative policies and practices to ensure student production run smoothly and successfully and that the safety and security of faculty, students, facilities, and equipment is realized. Design and conduct technical workshops and seminars in response to and adapted to meet faculty and students’ needs; ensure training is consistent with established industry and School curricular standards and related film technologies. Advise students on productions; serve as resource expert recommending production options to students and resolving complex problems. Supervise full- and part-time technical support and student employees.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree

Preferred Education:

Bachelor's degree in Film and Television.

Required Experience:

2 years' film or video production facility operations management, budget administration and staff supervision experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include proficiency with 150 16mm film cameras, 100 digital video cameras, plus light sources and sound.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in an academic and/or production environment. Prior expereince in a production rental facility.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and project management skills. Ability to communicate policies and procedures to individuals at all levels and use problem solving and negotiating skills. Proficiency with a wide range of current design and production technologies, effects software and equipment including 16mm film cameras, digital video cameras, and light sources. Ability to direct, evaluate and implement a variety of operations and activities.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Knowledge of current and emerging technologies (e.g., digital and analog film and television technologies).

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $65,520.00 to USD $80,080.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
