McKinsey & Company Inc. US is seeking a Product Specialist in New York, NY. Guide the team in developing and driving an ambitious product vision and strategy. Develop a deep understanding of the target market, build relationships with the business and other key stakeholders, and own the product lifecycle. Capable of managing product budget and making trade-offs between value, feasibility, and usability as informed by data analytics and user research. Define objectives and key results with a sharp focus on outcomes and impact informing product investment decisions. Work with stakeholders in the larger ecosystem to develop integrated workflows that optimize team productivity. Continuously groom the backlog, write user stories with clear acceptance criteria, and lead story estimation and prioritization with the team. Guide sprint and release planning, taking necessary action in sprint reviews. Test and review each product feature and provide feedback for the team. Ensure empathetic, customer driven design through regular interactions with the user community, considering user pain points and delights. Guide the team through the Firm’s governance process. Manage vendor relationships and performance in support of the product vision.Qualified applicants for this position must possess a Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent. Qualified applicants for this position must have a minimum of two (2) years of product management experience working with software product development teams that practice agile methodology. Experience must include the following: working with software development team(s) from ideation to execution against multiple strategic initiatives; making recommendations on product strategy and creating a roadmap for teams to execute against; coordinating and leading in global Go-To-Market activities of each strategic initiative; using data to analyze performance and manage follow-up iterations to meet goals; engaging with internal stakeholders and presenting to organization executives; deep understanding of product lifecycle, data & analytics, software development; working with technical & business teams.
