Google Product Manager I, Privacy Sandbox, Developer Experiences in New York, New York

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 3 years of experience in product management or related technical role.

  • 1 year of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.

  • 2 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).

  • Experience with open source projects.

  • Experience with developer stakeholders.

  • Ability to support in high-stake regulatory conversations with excellent written communication and attention to detail.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

The Privacy Sandbox initiative aims to create technologies that both protect people's privacy online and give companies and developers tools to build thriving digital businesses. Our team is dedicated to strengthening the Web and Android platform against tracking and fingerprinting, while also developing new privacy-preserving APIs to support personalization and measurement on the web. We are committed to collaborating with stakeholders in the industry to develop and implement viable, alternative solutions in a way that protects the privacy of users while also ensuring the continued vitality of the web.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Partner with Engineering to ensure adoption of Privacy Sandbox non-Ads APIs.

  • Own product strategy for Web API's that serve as replacements for third-party cookies.

  • Create a go-to-market strategy for driving adoption of Web API's across key verticals (e.g., Embeds, Payments, Sign In, etc.).

  • Identify where to lean into creating new web-standards and where to build unique solutions for Chrome.

  • Work with user experience researchers to kick off a new work-stream in Developer Experience research for the Privacy Sandbox team.
