Sony Music Entertainment Product Design Manager in New York, New York
Sony Music Entertainment seeks Product Design Manager in New York, New York to be responsible for validating designs, identifying constraints, and providing corrective actions. Lead a team of designers to provide product design solutions to meet cost-effectiveness and on-time deliveries. Organize and supervise the product design team by implementing process improvements in a product design setting and recommending new technologies and tools to optimize product design and development processes. Analyze and troubleshoot product design issues. Address team member grievances and provide support as needed. Coach and provide training to team members to improve technical skills. Build a positive and safe working environment for product design teams. Identify resource requirements and perform workload assignments to meet product design goals. Assist in employee recruitment, performance evaluation, promotion, and termination activities. Help define and work with key performance indicators and metrics. Telecommuting permissible 2-3 days a week. 10% domestic and international travel required. Salary: $150,800 - $177,500/yr. Requirements: Must have a Master’s degree in Product Design, Information Experience Design, or a closely related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related product design role, including 2 years of experience with: (1) UX & UI skills and toolkits (Figma, Invision, or Whimsical); (2) product design in the music industry; (3) information architecture; (4) using usage metrics to inform design decisions and running user research to harness insights to inform design decisions; (5) working with product and development team to ensure proper product implementation and alignment; (6) ensuring the accurate implementation of design direction; and (7) overseeing a full portfolio of applications that span across multiple areas and themes.Job Location: 23 E 4th Street, Floor 3, New York, NY 10003To Apply:Email resume to: Diane Barnett - dbarnettPX@sonymusic.com and reference 05616.00068
