Palantir Technologies Procurement Contracts Specialist in New York, New York
- Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle for all supplier-related contracts and other artifacts for assigned business units.
- Embed and establish rapport with business units to be able to effectively advise on procurement strategy through data analysis.
- Track, measure, report, and evaluate vendor performance in the context of existing contractual obligations.
- Conduct risk assessments of vendors to drive risk-based negotiation approach.
- Act as a bridge between cross-functional teams such as Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Accounting, Legal, Information Security, Compliance and the various business departments to creatively resolve any blockers and push transactions through to completion.
- Identify and support improvements to end-to-end purchasing processes, including supplier onboarding, contracting, and purchase order management.
- Maintain program for ensuring company-wide compliance with procurement policy.
- Act autonomously in project management, proactively pushing projects towards successful completion.
- Strong communication skills, especially in the context of contract negotiations.
- Experience independently negotiating vendor contracts.
- Proven ability to analyze and synthesize critical information, through clear and effective communication.
- Demonstrated business judgement and an ability to thrive in uncertain environments.
- Ability to identify business process inefficiencies and drive process improvements.
- Ability to balance commercial needs, assess risks and make decisive, calculated choices for strategic business advantages.
- 5+ years of procurement or legal operations experience, preferably in a rapidly growing and/or evolving environment.
- Experience working with purchasing systems like Coupa or Netsuite.
- Strong data analysis skills, with proficiency in Excel.
