The Sponsored Products Marketplace Intelligence team is responsible for ranking, placing and pricing billions of ads per day. We seek a Principal Technical Program Manager to lead a new initiative focused on improving the shopper experience through innovations ranging from ML modeling to new interactive discovery experiences. In this role, you'll have an opportunity to deliver outsized business impact and delight hundreds of missions of customers.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop new metrics to measure different business considerations (monetization, shopper experience, advertiser experience, marketplace dynamics).

  • Develop new features, working backwards from shopper or advertiser problems and opportunities.

  • Intake requirements from external teams and define product direction and priorities.

  • Represent the business in regular leadership reviews.

  • Work across Amazon with partner teams both inside and outside advertising to drive long-term growth at a company-wide level.

  • Work across the organization to drive improvements to our ad serving systems to unlock emerging opportunities with state of the art foundation models

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 5+ years of software development experience

  • Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $141,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
