Overview
The Capital Introduction team is involved in every stage of the hedge fund lifecycle, working with both start-ups and established funds acting as a value add resource to the Firm's Prime Brokerage Clients. The Capital Introduction team is responsible for consulting with hedge fund clients on their market positioning and overall fundraising strategy. In addition to hedge funds, the Capital Introduction team has the unique responsibility of managing relationships with the world’s leading institutional investors. We interface with self-directed hedge fund investors including pensions, foundations, endowments, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, and the advisors/intermediaries who work with these groups. These formative investor relationships allow us to introduce our hedge fund clients to differentiated pools of capital throughout their fundraising process.
The Capital Introduction team sits within TD Securities' US Prime Services business, which provides financing, securities lending, and other services (e.g., securities clearance and settlement, asset servicing reporting and technology, risk management tools) to hedge fund clients. The team is based in NYC and this position is full time in, the New York office.
The TDS Capital Introduction Team is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Analyst to help support the daily operations of the Capital Introduction Team. This individual must be polished, enthusiastic and possesses strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail. Flexibility, initiative and a drive to succeed are essential qualities for the position. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Summary
Operate in a fast-paced, client-centric environment involving frequent client meetings/calls in which analysts assist in preparation, participation, and follow up
Heavy in-person, phone, and e-mail interaction with hedge fund clients, allocators and internal contacts
Prepare overview materials on individual hedge fund and investor firms
Analyze data on the hedge fund industry and summarize key trends and themes by creating content that is distributed to a global client base
Assist in planning, organization and execution of a range of client conferences and events
Update internal CRM for client and allocator data
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree
Between 1-3 years of industry experience is preferred (e.g., capital introduction, marketing/investor relations, allocator role)
Self-starter with excellent attention to detail and exemplary problem-solving abilities
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize competing responsibilities, manage deadlines, and stay organized, while conducting oneself with a strong sense of personal accountability
Team player who collaborates effectively with colleagues
Technical skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with Dynamo or comparable CRM is encouraged
Licenses: SIE, Series 7 and 63 are required (in line with firm requirements)
The Analyst Sales & Trading provides quality, efficient and specialized sales and trading support on multiple and diverse range of assignments. The Analyst Sales & Trading also Inputs trade details into trade capture systems as directed by the Sales or Trading desks. The position also ensures that all required economic attributes are captured to appropriately reflect the economic impact for which the trade was intended, positions are appropriately valued and allows for cash flows and risk to be accurately represented. The Analyst Sales and Trading ensures that all required counterparty details and trade control codes are captured to facilitate downstream operations and regulatory reporting processes accurately and efficiently.
