New York University Postdoctoral Associate for Shabani Lab in New York, New York

We seek a postdoctoral associate to participate in projects of strategic national importance in quantum information science. Postdoctoral associate appointees will contribute to one or more of the following projects (i) modelling of the behavior of many-body multiqubit systems, (ii) development of quantum algorithms for materials simulations or optimization, (iii) perform quantum network simulations, and (iv) development of a full-stack approach to optimize quantum computing.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual

base salary range for this position is $65,000 - $70,000. New York University

considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant

funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an

offer.

Candidates applying for the position must have a good knowledge of at least one coding language (e.g. Python, C++). The candidate should have a background in quantum computing algorithms, quantum error correction, quantum optics or related fields. We seek candidates with strong leadership skills who will help foster a safe and efficient work environment and aspire to be good mentors. Candidates for the position must have a Doctorate degree in Physics or a related discipline.
