Salary Range: $22.39 - $25.96

Position Summary

Under direct supervision, is responsible for maintaining a clean environment and providing general maintenance of the facilities assigned to This role also assists with security and concierge services

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitors and maintains the interiors and exteriors of facilities. Mops and vacuums as necessary. Removes trash, performs general cleaning and cleans sidewalks. Makes sure areas are clear of obstructions. Monitors lighting. Performs snow/ice removal.

  • Operates specialty heavy equipment: burnishing machines, buffers, extraction machines, floor refinishers, pressure washers, leaf blowers and moving equipment.

  • Assists with special moves of heavy items as needed.

  • Provides emergency cleanup services as needed.

  • Collects recyclable materials.

  • Identifies and escalates potential problems and areas requiring special cleaning.

  • Assists with move-in and move-out activities.

  • Paints interior and exterior surfaces of the facility. Installs and repairs wallpaper coverings.

  • Performs general maintenance repairs.

  • Monitors and provides general concierge duties.

Education

  • May vary

Experience

  • Approximately 1-3 years of experience in maintenance, housekeeping or custodial services

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, early mornings and/or late nights; Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move objects weighing a minimum of 50 pounds; Ability to push/pull objects up to 100 pounds
