Compensation
Salary range - $ 100,70 0 - $142,929 / Grade (C)
Responsibilities
Under the general supervision of the Chief Officer, Stations, or a District Customer Service Manager (DCSM) , and with wide latitude for independent initiative and judgment, the selected candidate will serve as the primary manager responsible for coordinating all administrative and operations support-related activities across the various sub-divisions with the Division of Stations. They will serve as the primary point of contact to DOS Operations Support and the Office of the SVP, DOS on all department-level initiatives that require division-level coordination and support. The selected candidate will need strong project-management and time-management skills, as they will spearhead a range of special projects and initiatives that align with both Division and Department-level goals (e.g., optimal century service, employee engagement, safety, etc.) and ensure that all required project stakeholders are appropriately included, and respective project tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
The selected candidate will support Stations in the review and management of all critical Division-level documentation, including but not limited to operating policies and procedures, internal controls, training protocols and emergency plans and will supervise a small staff of supervisors/ analysts/administrative personnel assigned to perform clerical/administrative tasks within the Office of the Chief and other sub-division managerial offices (e.g., tracking budget-related data). They will represent senior-level Division managers, as required, when communication and/or coordination on the above-listed matters is needed and will serve as a division liaison to other Subways’ divisions, NYCT departments, MTA
Headquarters, MTA affiliate agencies, and other City agencies. As needed, they will represent senior management at executive-level meetings and present Division-level information to senior- level staff. Finally, the selected candidate will be responsible for managing confidential records (e.g., responses to the Office of the IG, Law, HR, Labor Relations, etc.), authoring executive-level Memorandum, developing PowerPoint presentations, and performing related managerial work.
Education and Experience
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and /or ten (10) years of related experience in business administration or related experience in transportation management, of which five (5) years must have been in a managerial/supervisory capacity or satisfactory equivalent of education and experience.
Desired Skills
Knowledge of NYCT rules and regulations. In-depth knowledge of all Stations operating and administrative procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of PC applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
