Gannett Fleming Northeast Wastewater Practice Manager in New York, New York
What You Will Do:
With decades of experience solving complex water and environmental challenges Gannett Fleming has delivered award winning work for public and private clients across North America. We are looking for an inspiring leader experienced in client engagement, project/program management and operational experience in the greater New York area to take on the challenge of Northeast Wastewater Practice Manager.
You will work closely with operational and practice leadership to ensure alignment to support growth strategy of the practice both regionally and nationally. At the same time you will focus on developing and strengthening business relationships and long-term marketing strategies targeting the water/wastewater market. Acting as Project Principal, you will leverage your technical and market expertise to provide oversight on medium and large projects/programs at various stages, from conception through construction. Other responsibilities will include:
- Grow the business across strategic markets, focusing on our competencies, promoting services and expertise in the Gannett Fleming portfolio.
- Support strategic planning and annual business planning process.
- Identify potential clients and lead initiatives for enhanced business development performance and efficiencies for continued growth.
- Perform on-going market research and analysis to access potential client needs and objectives.
- Lead the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities that would benefit from the full spectrum of Gannett Fleming's architecture and engineering consulting solutions
- Develop a deep understanding of the client requirements in order to create customer-specific capture strategies, structure and build pursuit teams; and oversight of proposal development process.
Education | Experience:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering or other related fields, advanced degree preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) preferred but not required
- 20+ years of relevant water/wastewater facility, conveyance and utility system planning, program and project/construction management experience
- Progressive management and leadership experience, with preference given to medium to large-scale water and wastewater capital programs
- Demonstrated successful performance in the development of significant client accounts and revenue based upon client service, project satisfaction, technical quality, schedules and budget compliance.
- Proven ability and accomplishments in leading medium to large-scale water/wastewater projects - ability to communicate program successes and challenges in an articulate manner
