Overview:
Marc Jacobs International, powered by the creative genius of Marc Jacobs, seeks a Senior Accountant to join the Finance team based in its New York City (SoHo) headquarters.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Account for commerce and wholesale revenues, including returns reserves and deferred revenues
Analyze revenue data to calculate reserves for discounts, markdowns, chargebacks, and allowances
Handle month-end accruals, reconcile accrued expenses accounts, and perform balance sheet reconciliations
Support monthly financial closing activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Drive process improvements and automate workflows for efficiency and scalability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business processes
Conduct ad hoc financial analyses for management
Assist with internal and external audit requests
Flexible to support ad-hoc requests from senior management and business operations teams
Ability to independently create analytical reports and present to executives
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance; active CPA preferred
3+ years of accounting or audit experience, ideally in wholesale, retail, or fashion industries
Proficiency in Excel (vlookup, sumifs, pivot tables)
Experience with ERP solutions preferred (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle JDE, SAP).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
SALARY & BENEFITS/WHAT WE OFFER:
The compensation for this position ranges from $95,000-$100,000 (annually). The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience.
