Description We are a non-profit organization based in New York, seeking a Network Administrator to become a part of our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our IT infrastructure and security strategy, which includes network administration, user support, and business continuity planning. This role offers a contract with the potential for a permanent position.
Responsibilities:
• Administer and manage the organization's IT infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, and Active Directory environments.
• Oversee the LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, and Cisco network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Develop and implement security policies, controls, and best practices, monitoring for any potential threats and ensuring data and systems are protected.
• Conduct regular system maintenance, applying updates and patches, and monitor system performance.
• Design and implement improvements to enhance network connectivity, speed, and reliability.
• Develop scripts and tools for system administration tasks to increase IT efficiency.
• Provide technical support to resolve escalated IT issues, and support onboarding and training of staff on IT tools, systems, and security protocols.
• Develop, test, and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans, ensuring systems and data backups are conducted regularly and securely.
• Manage virtualization platforms and storage systems, optimizing resource utilization to improve performance and cost efficiency.
• Support cybersecurity awareness initiatives for staff and maintain compliance with organizational and industry standards. Requirements • Proficiency in Cisco Routers and Cisco Technologies is needed for the successful execution of this role.
• Familiarity with Citrix Technologies is a requisite for the position.
• A well-rounded understanding and experience with Dell Technologies is essential.
• Expertise in Firewall Technologies is required to maintain network security.
• Knowledge of Active Directory is crucial for managing user access and permissions.
• Experience with Backup Technologies is vital for data protection and recovery.
• Strong skills in Computer Hardware are necessary for handling network equipment.
• Proficiency in Configuration Management is required for maintaining network stability.
