This is to sustain our culture of innovation, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and building relationships within the business.The teamThis is an opportunity to work interdependently with an engaged team that sits within a global Fixed Income function at a global asset management firm.Position OverviewSchroders is seeking a Municipal Credit search Analyst to join the US Fixed Income Research team. The analyst will be a generalist, covering all sectors across the municipal market. The municipal team is a collaborative desk, where portfolio managers and analysts collaborate on idea generation in order to source alpha for clients.ResponsibilitiesPerform fundamental analysis on credits and assign an internal rating. Monitor credit quality of both individual credits and overall sector trendsProduce both written and oral relative value recommendationsCollaborate with analysts and portfolio managers on investment opportunities and sale recommendationsFrequently interact with portfolio managers and tradersQuickly respond to ad hoc credit requests.Basic Qualifications1-5 years municipal credit research experienceBachelor’s degree (Finance/Economic or math related field is preferred, but other areas acceptable)Must be detail oriented, organized and willing to learnIndependent thinker with the ability to hold contrarian views.Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.Strong communication skills, both written and verbalProficient in standard software packages such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Bloomberg.Personable, collegial and team-oriented.Preferred QualificationsCFA or working towards certificationTechnical, programming, modelling skills1+ years of investment experience, preferably in the municipal marketCompensation Schroders offers a base salary in a range of $130,000 to $150,000 for this position.The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting.
