Medical Director, Wunderman Thompson LLC, New York, NY. Collaborate with the Scientific team as well as the Account and Editorial teams to ensure scientific integrity of projects. Direct and support client’s marketing and medical goals. Maximize scientific data to meet overall strategic imperatives, positioning and long-term vision. Perform medical writing, editing, and rewriting as well as review scientific content for accuracy. Understand the therapeutic market and share timely information about the changes in the market. Develop and oversee high degree scientific and technical projects. Read, interpret and distill content from medical journal articles and pharmaceutical clinical study reports for scientific and marketing messages. Provide recommendations and ensure adherence to internal processes. Suggest innovative ways to present data. Participate in the development of breakthrough, creative, and innovative programs founded in strong science. Coach and mentor junior science staff.40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. $143,500/yr. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: PhD. or foreign equivalent degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field, and four (4) years of medical communications agency related work experience.Must have four (4) years of experience with/in:•Working in multiple therapeutic areas;•Medical content writing, editing and re-writing;•Reviewing scientific content for accuracy; and•Conducting research on biomedical and life sciences literature using PubMed.Must have two (2) years of experience with/in:•Managing freelance writers; and•Developing regulatory authority compliant, scientifically rigorous oncology marketing materials.Up to 10% domestic travel required.Telecommuting permitted.Please apply by emailing resume to USACareers@wundermanthompson.com referencing job code NY0051.
