Citigroup Global Markets, Inc. seeks a Markets Analyst for its New York, NY location.Duties: Work in the Rates Data Science team, to use a variety of statistical and computational methods to analyse broad based data across the Rates business. Use programming languages such as Python, query languages such as SQL or Q, Citi’s internal proprietary analytical libraries (dp and Scooby) together with an advanced knowledge of data science techniques (e.g. supervised/unsupervised learning techniques) and data visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau to provide insightful/actionable inputs to the Rates business. Conduct analysis, including prediction of customer flow, analysis of auction data, analysis of the composition of revenues of the as well as analysis of non-revenue data such as Voice of the Employee surveys, capital data or expense data. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Physics, Data Science, Economics, or a related field, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation in the financial services industry. Five (5) years of experience must include: Analyzing and applying statistical techniques to large datasets using Python directly or a Python-based user interface; Utilizing/Interacting with the structured datasets that underpin the Rates business (ie. Trade data, RFQ data and Risk data); Performing technical analysis of interest rate products, ranging from bonds to exotic interest rate derivatives across large volumes of trades and/or market data; Utilizing data visualization / BI tools including PowerBI, Tableau, Matplotlib or Excel; Applying data science techniques, including machine learning (supervised techniques ranging from linear regression to neural networks) or dimension reduction (principal component or factor analysis) to real world problems within the Rates business; and Pricing and overseeing risk of interest rate products either directly or in the context of data science projects to analyze the business. In the alternative, employer will accept a Master’s degree and three (3) years of experience. Salary range: $250,000.00 to $250,000.00. 40 hrs./wk.
