Weill Cornell Medical College Marketing Coordinator in New York, New York

Position Summary

Under guidance, responsible for the creation and execution of print, digital, and marketing content to promote awareness of clinical department services, programs, and events.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the creation of clinical marketing materials that include brochures, physician announcements, and flyers. Maintains overall suite of materials to ensure compliance with, and adherence to, brand guidelines and best practices.

  • Solicit and compile submitted content for department’s annual report and monthly newsletter.

  • Coordinate with the PO Marketing team in the Office of External Affairs to set up new physicians’ online presence, including setting up their Physician Organization Profile System (POPS) profiles.

  • Pull data from Cognos to support development of marketing campaigns.

  • Manage all department social media channels (e.g., Twitter, Instagram), develop and post weekly content, and ensure brand compliance across all social media platforms. Grow the department’s social media following.

  • Assist Residents with creating social media content and posts for the Residency Program on Instagram.

  • Plan and coordinate all video and photo faculty shoots (e.g., faculty interviews, program videos).

  • Participate and attend all cross-departmental sponsorships and community events. Provide administrative and logistical support for all departmental events and educational forums.

  • Submit web maintenance requests to WCM ITS web team for department website updates.

  • Provide daily oversight of the Pre-Natal Education Program (e.g., scheduling classes, updating the website, and processing refunds/payments).

  • Assist with identifying venues and vendors for department’s annual events and attend departmental events as needed. Work with branding vendors to identify branded items options for various internal events.

Education

  • Associate's Degree

  • Bachelor's Degree

Experience

  • At least 1-2 years of Marketing or related experience Previous experience in academic, or medical environment is a plus.

  • Experience writing for a variety of platforms, including print, web, and social media is preferred.

  • Fully proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite is preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong writing skills, ability to write unique content independently

  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to details

  • Familiar with Panopto or another video hosting site (e.g., YouTube, Vimeo)

  • Proficient with IBM Cognos, or any other report authoring tools is a major plus

  • Strong communicator and able to make connections with staff, including physicians, across the various locations

  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite (PowerPoint and Excel).

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
