Google Managing Director, Agency, Google Customer Solutions in New York, New York

This role may also be located in our Playa Vista, CA campus.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 15 years of sales or advertising agency leadership experience in the technology, internet, or digital media industries.

  • 10 years of experience in direct sales people management and business quota ownership for a book of business.

  • Experience working and communicating with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels globally.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working at or with Advertising Agencies including partnering with C-suite stakeholders.

  • Experience setting clear, focused goals to drive organizational results and team performance in a direct lean environment.

  • Ability to select, attract, motivate, retain, and develop leaders and team members. Ability to accurately appraise the strengths and weaknesses of team members and build a diverse team that complements each other to achieve outstanding results.

  • Excellent strategic thinking and creative problem solving skills at a high level.

As the Managing Director, you will lead a critical segment of GCS Americas - the US Agency business. You will oversee the US Agency, Google Marketing Platform (GMP), and the Private Equity and Venture Capital (PE/VC) teams. You will own the relationship and work with Google’s US advertising agencies and investors stakeholders to influence their strategies and drive growth objectives. You will enable your team to always reach for ambitious business goals. Your knowledge of the GCS business landscape and online media, combined with your advertising, sales, and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing agencies/customers will grow with Google.

In this role, you will lead a distributed team of high performing sales organization, made up of executives and professionals. You will set the long-term agency and advertiser strategy for the business, and hold your teams accountable for executing on that strategy. You will also collaborate effectively with Google’s Product, Partnerships, Marketing, Large Customer Sales, and Support businesses to drive business results.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $250,000-$359,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Define the strategy and set priorities across the US to optimize for growth and ensure a positive experience of agencies. Align strategic priorities with cross-functional teams (e.g., Revenue Strategy and Operations (RSO), Google Professional Services and Customer Support Teams (GTech), Marketing) to drive a shared outlook and goals.

  • Advise and partner with C-level clients on their key business objectives.

  • Deliver against business goals and drive incremental business growth to accelerate year over year growth.

  • Hire, develop, retain, and inspire a passionate, customer-focused sales team who are successful at engaging with high-level client leadership teams.
