Overview
The Apex Exchange Finance team is currently seeking an Accounting Manager for our Revenue FP&A team who will have primary responsibility for the revenue accounting for APEX Exchange. This position will lead the month end close. They will also have responsibility for creating and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations in compliance with our Financial Monitoring & Controls. They will report directly to the Director of FP&A for Apex Exchange.
This position is suitable for a highly motivated and service-focused individual with strong attention to detail, ability to manage and meet timelines, and a strong understanding of revenue accounting. The manager will supervise two direct reports, and the right candidate will have experience as a people manager.
Responsibilities
Lead the month-end close and reporting for Apex revenue
Continually improve financial revenue management processes by implementing tighter controls: data integrity, process improvement, and rigorous analysis
Provide analysis and interpretation of actual performance versus plan/forecast, and assess impact on future results
Generate, analyze and distribute monthly reporting and providing commentary as appropriate
Assist in strategic and operational planning processes including annual budget and monthly forecasts
Be a thought leader on revenue drivers; synthesize data to help drive key strategic/financial decision making
Participate in, ad-hoc financial and operational analyses to inform strategies aimed at enhancing profitability and accelerating growth
Create and maintain reconciliations for AP, AR, deferred revenue and accrued revenue balance sheet activity
Work with Controller’s team to reconcile media billings and prepare reporting for intercompany partners
Support FP&A team with agency reporting deadlines including month end close and forecasts
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
CPA strongly preferred
4+ years of applicable accounting/finance experience (audit experience a plus)
Strong knowledge of Finance and Accounting principles including GAAP, IFRS, Revenue Recognition, Accrual Accounting, Profitability analysis, Variance Analysis, and Financial Reporting
Experience using SAP accounting software strongly preferred
Familiarity using financial reporting (HFM), media billing systems (MediaOcean), and Salesforce is ideal
Advanced MS Excel skills (Lookups, Pivot Tables, Power Queries)
Results-oriented individual with a strong work ethic who can operate effectively, independently, and lead in a collaborative environment

Compensation Range: $73,910 - $96,140 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
