Lab Technologist
Clinical Immunology
Full-Time 10am-6pm
Under limited supervision, performs blood tests and other body fluid tests, including microscope analysis, to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease

Responsibilities
Performs all required immunological and serological procedures using a variety of equipment.
Performs manual methodologies such as enzyme immunoassays, immunofluorescent assays, immunofixation, and fluorescence microscopy.
Performs all quality control and instrument check procedures and maintains all related records.
Prepare solutions and reagents used in all tests, with particular attention to viability, lot number and expiration date of substance before using in the performance of tests.
Process stat specimens expeditiously.
Participate in the QA/PI process and improves performance based on results obtained from QI activities.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary health care teams.
Promote a supportive and team-oriented environment.
Support departmental responsibilities consistent with the long-range strategic plan, mission, vision and values of the hospital.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field
NYS Clinical Laboratory license and registration required
1 year of experience in immunology or serology
Essential Qualifications
ASCP preferred
Meticulous attention to detail
Self-motivated and proactive; a team player who knows how to think critically in a fast-paced, challenging environment
Active participant in seeking solutions to problems
