NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing Junior Laboratory Associate (LeDoux Laboratory) in New York, New York
The candidate will participate in the experimental design, training and data analysis of the study on the neurobiology of defensive behavior in rodents. The employee will work collaboratively with other lab members but also independently. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, reliable, interested in cutting-edge science, and willing to work both independently and in a team. The successful candidate will have many learning opportunities as well as strong mentoring from current lab members.
Performs behavioral experiments.
Performs data analysis.
Maintains organized records of experimental data.
Assists lab members in routine duties.
Assists in managing a rat colony.
Help to ensure that the laboratory is safe and in compliance with regulations.
About the lab:
The LeDoux lab is part of the Center for Neural Science at the New York University and studies the neural basis of emotional memory from the synapse to the whole organism by using behavioral, anatomical, electrophysiological and molecular approaches.
