TEKsystems Investigations Manager (Technical) in New York, New York

Description:

The Investigations Manager (Technical) is responsible for supporting the protection of the client's overall business, through investigations and analysis into all forms of intentional loss and unintentional loss. You will work directly with leadership and other internal stakeholders to understand how loss occurs throughout the business, identify opportunities to prevent loss, and leverage data and analytics to provide insight and recommendations. You will perform investigative interviews in accordance with company policy and procedure and help drive initiatives to resolve and mitigate loss. The ideal candidate possesses a strong analytical toolset, has a passion for challenging work and a willingness to think creatively, working with cross-functional teams to drive meaningful impact on the business. The ideal candidate will maintain the highest levels of professionalism, integrity, discretion, and diligence with a particular focus on exceptional member service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Review and analyze business processes to identify risks and vulnerabilities that can lead to loss.

● Provide recommended and appropriate strategies for prevention, mitigation, and recovery of loss.

● Identify, investigate, and resolve theft and fraud incidents throughout the company, including retail, DC, e-commerce, 3rd party and corporate office environments. Strive to minimize loss to the company in all forms to protect our members and profitability.

● Leverage existing and custom data sources and analytics to proactively identify potential loss/theft/fraudulent/irregular activities.

● Conduct in-depth analysis using data and insights from multiple sources to provide actionable recommendations for reducing loss and evaluating accountability.

● Prepare thorough, well-organized, unbiased, and factual reports and presentations for management, internal stakeholders, the audit committee, law enforcement and relevant third parties, as applicable.

● Collaborate and partner with internal stakeholders to proactively identify process improvements, requirements, and help translate these requirements into solutions to drive efficiency for the business.

● Build out and deliver regular customized reports for loss, fraud, shrink and other operational reporting. Diagnose and troubleshoot data discrepancies, errors and complex process and functional issues.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

● 4-year degree from accredited university, or equivalent military or professional experience

● Strong familiarity with databases (querying and analyzing) such as SQL, MYSQL, Access, Exception Based Reporting, etc. Experience with Salesforce is a plus.

● 2+ years of E-commerce Payment Processor in Fraud Detection (experience with companies like Stripe/ Affirm)

● 4+ years’ experience in one or all of the following disciplines: loss prevention, asset protection, transportation/supply chain security, investigations, analytics or business intelligence.

● 4+ years’ experience in Interviewing and Interrogation. Wicklander-Zulawski trained.

● 4+ years’ experience overseeing multiple locations.

● Proactive, self-motivated, with strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments.

● Strong project management skills with the ability to look for creative solutions in dealing with ambiguity.

● Strong communication skills: proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external business partners at various levels and to understand and express complex technical concepts.

● Hands-on experience working with very large datasets, including statistical analyses, data visualization, data mining, and data cleansing/transformation.

● Hands-on experience with data model development and reporting in data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, and familiar with spreadsheet software (Excel, Google Sheets, Pivot tables and the development of charts and graphics).
