THE OPPORTUNITY
This opportunity to join the Department of Pediatrics at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons at the rank of an Instructor in Pediatrics in Non-Invasive Imaging is an exciting one. Columbia University Irving Medical Center, one of the nation's foremost academic health science centers. The Department of Pediatrics at Columbia University Irving Medical Center is the top in comparison with other pediatrics department in the NY region in NIH research funding.
Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC)/Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of New York is now accepting applications for advanced fellowship training in non-invasive imaging in the 2025-2026 academic year. Applicants will have completed their general pediatric cardiology fellowship training at an accredited ACGME institution prior to the start date of July 1, 2025 will be considered. The Pediatric Non-Invasive Imaging Laboratory at Columbia University Irving Medical center is one of the largest imaging programs for children with congenital heart disease in the United States, with over 15,000 echocardiograms performed annually. The section includes 11 full-time and 7 part-time pediatric cardiologist imagers. Activities include fetal cardiology, transesophageal echocardiography, cardiac magnetic resonance and cardiac computed tomography. The Instructor (advance fellow) in non-invasive imaging will participate in our fellowship program as a non-ACGME fellow. This structure is in place to train this talented fellow while he/she participates in inpatient rounds and outpatient care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Instructor position will include:
- Responsibilities include all aspects of cardiac imaging including exam performance/interpretation.
- Clinical responsibilities will include outpatient and inpatient pediatric cardiology subspecialty care.
