Description
SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Housekeeping Manager, performs routine housekeeping duties as well as minor repairs when needed.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledgeable about and follows infection control/universal precautions.
Practice general safety procedures while performing housekeeping tasks.
Appropriately uses Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Employee completes daily assignment checklist.
Ensures that waste generated within the health care facility is collected, transported and disposed of properly.
Participates in the department's performance improvement activities.
Maintains patient /employee confidentiality in the management of information.
Displays courtesy, tact, and patience during interactions with all members of the staff and extended community.
Is punctual and maintains a satisfactory attendance record.
Employee uses equipment and supplies appropriately.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Observes the Health Care system’s compliance policies.
Meets regulatory, licensure and annual health assessment requirements.
Identifies learning strengths and needs.
Utilizes learning resources.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent
Required minimum of (3) year experience working as a Housekeeper preferred in the Health Care field.
Experience with cleaning equipment including extractors, floor buffers and stripping machine.
