Citigroup Head of Escrow Services (LFG) - C16 in New York, New York

The Head of Escrow Services (LFG) is a senior level responsible for executing functional strategy and new business origination in areas managed. Full management responsibility for multiple teams across several locations, including management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.in coordination with the Law Firm Group (LFG) team. The third party Escrow Agent product is a product within the Banking and Custody unit of Citi Private Bank’s North America region, within Citi Global Wealth.

Responsibilities:

The role will involve formulation of the strategic direction of the product, as well as implementation and execution of new business development initiatives and sales plans to drive growth in the product. The role also requires. an in depth understanding of the industry, the structure of the product, and direct competitors products and services. The Escrow Product head will have significant management responsibilities, including management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.

  • Applying and enforcing the company’s policies.

  • Guide, lead and coach the Escrow Origination team.

  • Deal with complex legal, transactional and accounting problems that arise.

  • Resolve operational issues within the team.

  • Identify, lead and implement internal projects to enhance operating efficiency.

  • Fostering productive relationships with Bankers, ICs and Regional Senior Management to drive and grow Escrow sales.

  • Participate with staff in setting goals and reviewing results and performance.

  • Coach and mentor junior team members, as well as high performers in specific areas identified.

  • Foster solid team work within the team, build strong internal working relationships across CPB.

  • Create an efficient working environment which promotes teamwork, responsibility, ownership and integration with all partners.

  • Set high individual performance standards.

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience.

  • People management skills, proven technical skills in the area of the escrow product and sales.

  • Experience and proven track record selling into law firms.

Education:

  • Bachelors/University Degree. Master’s degree preferred.

  • University Degree. Master’s degree preferred.
