This is a foundational role within the WhatsApp global marketing organization, that will play a critical role in the global development of the WhatsApp brand.WhatsApp is looking for brand marketing leader who is passionate about shaping & building the WhatsApp brand, is experienced in developing and executing brand marketing plans that move hearts and minds. In this pivotal role, you will lead and bridge across global and local consumer marketing teams, responsible for the development and execution of large scale campaigns and brand moments across the world, and working with local teams to ensure local relevance and execution with excellence for billions of users. Additionally, you will own and drive establishing, maintaining, and evolving the brand foundations & its ecosystem. The person in the role will be expected to apply analytical rigor, a deep understanding of consumer and country-level market dynamics, and the right mix of brand and product knowledge to deliver effective marketing plans that truly move the needle - both short and long term. They must be adept at balancing the need for exceptional work while keeping up with the pace of an organization famous for moving fast.

Required Skills:

Global Brand Marketing Manager, WhatsApp Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and manage a pipeline of global consumer campaigns across media, partnerships,experiential, editorial and creative.

  2. Lead the development of campaigns and go-to-market strategy for our global brand campaigns and tentpole moments - that meets our short and long term business goals.

  3. Drive the global-to-local strategy and operational processes to ensure we are set up for success in delivering local consumer marketing brand plans and campaigns.

  4. Inform our overall global brand strategy based on the performance of media, creative and media landscape in key markets.

  5. Partner closely with the teams listed below to identify opportunities and deliver integrated marketing campaigns: Product Marketing, Consumer Insights, Decision Science, Communications, Planning and Media investment, Creative X (In-house Creative and Production Agency), a roster of agencies across traditional advertising, experiential, content partnership, etc.

  6. Track performance of campaigns to provide data-backed insights to optimize campaigns, find new opportunity areas, and report success to leadership.

  7. Collaborate with a growing team of Brand Strategists and Integrated Marketers to deliver on business priorities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 10+ years of experience leading iconic global brands' brand marketing efforts

  2. CPG and tech industry experience

  3. Experience utilizing consumer research and data to drive actionable insights to develop marketing strategies and plans.

  4. Experience in leading multi-million dollar campaigns with an understanding of communications and media planning.

  5. Experience managing multiple campaigns at the same time, and working with many different internal and external teams to ensure we are launching our programs seamlessly, and to the highest impact.

  6. Experience working with diverse agencies. A track record in developing compelling consumer communication and breakthrough creative.

  7. Experience working with international markets on global brands.

  8. Experience in leading and communication, with demonstrated talent at building collaborative partnerships with cross-functional partners, navigating matrix organization.

  9. Experience influencing effectively across all levels of management, successful in stakeholder management.

Public Compensation:

$150,000/year to $211,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
