Job Summary

As the General Manager overseeing a coffee bar and grab-and-go operation in a bustling market, you will be responsible for maintaining the business within the approved budget while ensuring client satisfaction. Building strong relationships with employees, guests, clients, and other departments is essential. You will also play a key role in fostering the professional development of your team and ensuring smooth interdepartmental collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in employee meetings, reviews, and training programs

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, local, state, and federal laws

  • Manage food costs while maintaining quality standards

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with staff, clients, guests, and other departments

  • Oversee financial aspects, including P&L reports, budgets, cash handling, and financial analysis

  • Manage purchasing, inventory control, and menu planning in coordination with chefs

  • Ensure adherence to HACCP controls and proper food storage

  • Analyze financial trends and data to optimize performance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

  • 8-10 years of upscale food service experience, with at least 6 years in management

  • Expertise in hiring, supervision, evaluations, and succession planning

  • Proven track record in achieving company goals and adhering to policies

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with food purchasing, inventory control, budgeting, and financial reporting

  • Knowledge of cash handling procedures and reconciliation

  • Familiarity with HACCP controls and health regulations

  • Strong catering experience is a plus

  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • ServSafe or Department of Health certification preferred
