Position Summary
The Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems at Pace University invites applications for a renewable one-year non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor to teach graduate courses in Human-Centered Design and User Experiences. Candidates will mainly teach on our NYC campus but can be expected to teach on Pleasantville Campus as well..
Position Qualifications
Successful candidates for this position will reflect the School’s commitment to excellence in teaching and service. Industry experience is a plus although not required.
The Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems is committed to increasing the diversity of the campus community. A doctoral candidate or a candidate who already has a doctoral degree in a related field is preferable. Experience in some of the following areas is particularly desirable:
Human-Centered Design
User Interface (UI) Design
Usability Testing
Visual Design and Interaction Design
Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality/Mixed Reality Design
Cognitive Science
Social Computing
Human-AI Interaction
Prior university-level teaching experience is highly valued with demonstrated success in both traditional classroom and online teaching pedagogies.
The position will require work on assessment and curriculum design.
