The Manager will support the accounting for a broad spectrum of business activities including joint ventures, investments, and various commercial initiatives; healthcare industry knowledge preferred but not required.
The Manager should have an understanding of administration for joint ventures - with a focus on financial reporting and tax (including partnership taxes, sales and use tax, etc.), proven communication and presentation skills, ability to work independently and in small groups, and demonstrated experience meeting deadlines.
Assist with business financial reporting and analysis, tax, and project management with responsibilities including:
Monthly financial statement close of joint ventures.
Review actual results, prepare analytics, comparison reporting
Existing and new business pipeline reporting and analysis
Assistance with maintenance of internal systems and databases; experience with Lawson is preferred.
Preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations
Take responsibility for accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc.
Maintaining the general ledger system
Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable
Researching accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Coordinating the budget process
Aggregation, maintenance, and reconciliation of key business metrics
Demonstrated knowledge of accounting for investments.
Participate in new business analysis with prospects and existing joint ventures
Review relevant contracts and agreements
Develop content and assist in PowerPoint presentations
Assistance with document management
Develop / maintain internal the business reporting and billing calendar
Support hospital and department goals and initiatives
Update detailed list of quarterly investments report
Play a key role in providing audit and tax supporting documents and oversee the audit and tax year end.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
7+ years’ experience in partnerships, venture capital, and/or joint ventures
Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to multi-task
CMA or CPA designation is a plus
3+ Public accounting experience is a plus
Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, with an emphasis on investments and partnerships accounting
Ability to work independently or in small groups and team player.
Experience working collaboratively with peers
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
