Financial Analyst, Selling Ops, North America

Role Summary:

The key function of this role is to support Brand Finance Managers on data support/analytics and reporting and Manager, Accounting & Selling Operations on data input required for month-end close activities. This role will also perform commercial scenario modeling activities with the commercial team.


Selling Operations Support

  • Prepare centralized monthly Demonstration (Salary/Commission) estimate and accrual methodology for all major Department Store accounts based on the current arrangements and authorized FTE and share with financial team for system entry

  • Acts as main point of knowledge for all demo arrangements by brand relating to Key Accounts

Brand Manager Support

  • Proactively monitor and analyze demonstration costs against plan and work with individual brand cluster teams to ensure follow-ups with the brands and Key Account Managers (KAMs)

  • Prepare and analyze Key Account demonstration reports, including arrangements, demonstration costs, staffing, turnover and productivity, through the Selling Tableau Dashboard

  • Work directly with the brand cluster teams to proactively ensure that productivity and headcount efficiencies are being met

  • Conduct monthly/quarterly business reviews to update Region Key Account Management team and Commercial Leads on current cost, productivity, and staffing initiatives

  • Perform scenario analysis, as needed, modeling various scenarios for Major Retailers

  • Support the development and improvement of new and existing Tableau reporting

FTE Management

  • Consolidate and track FTE usage vs authorized for major accounts (Nordstrom, Macy’s, etc). Work with Brand Selling team members to highlight any callouts and or anomalies so they can address with their brand partners

  • Validate current costs as they translate as a ratio to FTE authorization and usage

  • Establish and monitor NYC flagship direct pay doors to ensure appropriate staffing and that productivity KPIs are being met



  • 2 years of financial planning and analysis experience

  • Experience in a fast-moving consumer products industry

  • Strong analytical skills required

  • Proficient in Excel and financial reporting systems; Hyperion & SAP knowledge a plus

  • Ability to collaborate and drive cross-functional consensus

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

  • Proactive individual looking to continuously take on additional responsibility
