We are looking for a Manager to join our Digital Commerce Finance team. In this new role, you will partner with key decision makers to provide financial expertise and rigor to our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business. This is a relatively new business, which means we need someone with an entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to build out processes and procedures to drive continued growth in this area. You will be responsible for providing financial guidance and analysis needed for optimal decision making, as well as driving clarity and automation of this business stream. You will develop forecasts for the business and challenge the assumptions to ensure the best possible P&L. You will also be expected to be knowledgeable in the Digital Commerce sphere, including Pure Play and Omni Customer and Commerce Marketing.

What you will do:

  • Provide analysis and financial information to support Management and Commercial Team during monthly meetings, aiding in business growth strategy and execution

  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the company’s financial closing and reporting, and maintain the integrity of financial accounting records and systems

  • Drive the Budget & Planning process for the DTC Business, including budget/forecast preparation (volumes, pricing, VFC’s, freight, variances, NVO’s, A&P, reserves and tax) and developing financial implications from business planning inputs

  • Work closely with various business partners to review control and compliance of NVO and Advertising expenditures

  • Be responsible for general accounting and treasury functions, including P&L journal entries, balance sheet analysis, physical inventories at 3PL, and eWallet management

  • Implement and conduct SOX plan and testing, ensuring control and compliance over NVO and advertising expenditures.

  • Collaborate with different leaders and teams (e.g., General Manager, IT team, and Pure Play Customer Development team), to support strategic design, automate processes, and drive integration into the larger North America Organization

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related major

  • Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience in finance management

  • Previous experience in Commercial Finance management

  • Hands-on experience with SAP

  • Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment, lead change effectively, and maintain a growth mindset

  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking, communication, and influencing skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Budget planning, P&L and Balance Sheet experienced

  • Experience in the eCommerce sector

  • Microsoft Office or Google Suite proficiency (i.e, Sheets, Slides, Docs)

  • Experience in cloud based data platform capabilities including Data Warehousing, Data Visualization and Data Management (eg. BigQuery, Snowflake, Tableau, Domo, Sigma and more)

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range $92,000.00 - $130,000.00 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

  • Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.

  • Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements

  • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually

  • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually

  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year

  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
