Goldman Sachs & Company Engineering - Concert Platform - Software Engineer - Associate - New York in New York, New York

Concert Platform Overview

The Concert Platform offers a comprehensive suite of software products to provide the scaffolding for standing up front-office business applications in a standardized manner which follows several best practices around scale, resilience, concurrency control and quality. Typical use cases for Concert are order management, asset transfer and portfolio management functions within the firm. The Concert platform also modularizes common functional logic shared by these use cases in order to accelerate development and prevent duplication of effort across Concert's stakeholders. The heart of the ecosystem is the Concert Transaction Processor - a distributed event processor which offers transactional guarantees and automatic fine grained concurrency control not seen in typical workflow frameworks.

Concert is a fast growing ecosystem with increasing demands and a significant requirement to scale( 1/2 billion events processed last year through concert platform involving 10 trillion dollars of notional value traded), while preserving low event handling latency. It has been adopted across 3 Divisions in Goldman Sachs, and used by over 30 desks (trading and non trading) with an accelerating adoption rate in 2024 (10 users onboarded or in process of onboarding since beginning of the year and more are inquiring).
