Job Summary

Responsible for providing high-priority, personalized technical support to executives and other high-ranking individuals within Effectv. Aims to ensure that executives can maintain optimal productivity and seamless technology usage, without experiencing delays or frustrations associated with standard IT support processes. ​Minimizes downtime and technical issues that could impede the executive's ability to perform their duties effectively. ​Provides a tailored, high-touch support experience that meets the specific needs and preferences of each executive.​ Implementing stringent security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Identifying and addressing potential IT issues before they escalate into significant problems.​ Ensuring the smooth operation of essential business activities that rely on executive technology use.​

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Develops solutions for moderate to difficult systems problems serving executive-level clients with their wide range of devices and applications, including mobile devices, laptops, desktops, software, and network services.

  • Tailors support solutions that align with the specific technology preferences and needs of each executive.​

  • Provides both in-office and remote assistance to address issues promptly.

  • Operating Systems and hardware platforms responsibilities including regular system checks, updates, and optimizations to prevent potential issues for executive devices.

  • Possesses basic familiarity with Operating System internals. Troubleshoots and understands kernel and OS-level processes. Builds software packages to automate deployments and updates. ​

  • Database Platform Management responsibilities: Displays advanced understanding of database concepts, availability, performance, usage and configuration. Performs database backups, recoveries and restores. Understands database software interaction with OS. Sets up and troubleshoots standard replication. Understands storage allocation impact on database performance.

  • Storage and Backup responsibilities: Performs backups, recoveries and restores. Understands SAN/HBA software interaction with OS. Sets up and troubleshoots standard storage functions. Understands storage allocation impact on system performance. Conducts comprehensive performance and capacity monitoring, tuning and analysis.

  • Networking responsibilities: Installs and configures application software on servers following prescribed instructions. Understands basic layer-4/7 switch functionality and can help troubleshoot problems. Uses knowledge of networking and TCP/IP filtering to facilitate firewall and ACL requests. Correlates application-layer metrics and network device metrics, such as throughput, response time, congestion, dropped messages, queue depth measurement and lost data.

  • Actively participates in problem resolution, using knowledge about systems which are under his or her direct control. Uses a methodical troubleshooting approach.

  • Utilizes time management and project management skills to resolve issues in a timely and organized manner, effectively communicating necessary information.

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.

Salary:

Primary Location Pay Range: $77,076.71 - $115,615.07

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
