Job Description

As a Director of IT and Data Management, you will be responsible for overseeing the organization's information technology infrastructure and data management processes. Your primary focus will be on implementing and maintaining cutting-edge technology solutions, optimizing data collection and analysis, and ensuring the security and integrity of the organization's data. This hands-on role requires a strategic leader who can drive innovation, enhance operational efficiency, and support the company's growth through robust IT and data management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Infrastructure and Management:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.

• Oversee the management and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware, and software.

• Ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of IT systems to support business operations.

Data Management and Analysis:

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of data management systems to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability.

• Establish data governance policies and procedures to manage the collection, storage, and usage of data across the organization.

• Utilize advanced data analytics tools to generate insights and support data-driven decision-making.

Cybersecurity and Compliance:

• Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies to protect the organization's data and IT assets from threats and vulnerabilities.

• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.

• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.

Project Management:

• Lead IT and data-related projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business requirements.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency and productivity.

• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Provide leadership and direction to the IT and data teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Mentor and develop team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.

• Promote best practices in IT and data management through training and professional development initiatives.

Vendor and Stakeholder Management:

• Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and service level agreements.

• Collaborate with senior executives and department heads to understand technology needs and prioritize initiatives.

• Evaluate vendor performance and recommend changes as necessary to ensure the organization receives quality services and support.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.

• Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in IT management, data management, or related roles, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership position.

• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, data management, and cybersecurity best practices.

• Proficiency in data analytics, data governance, and data protection regulations.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.

• Exceptional project management and organizational abilities.

• Effective communication and leadership skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and drive change.

• Experience with emerging technologies and innovation in IT and data management.
