The Director Assistant is a key role providing analytical, strategic, communications and executional support for the U.S. Commercial Lending & Product Analytics team. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, the incumbent will be a strong strategic thinker who possesses the confidence and composure to successfully drive the implementation of a wide range of initiatives within Global Commercial Services (GCS) and with across key partner groups.

Key responsibilities include:
Build impactful and comprehensive presentations for key business reviews with senior management.
Partner with the office of the GCS Product, and other GCS Executive team members, by acting as a central point of contact for high priority business initiatives, information requests and updates.
Liaise closely with Colleage Experience Group (CEG) Business Partner and lead the execution of a wide range of Talent initiatives e.g., Talent Assessment, PMP, Learning and Development. Assist in development and execution of strategies and initiatives to drive Colleague Engagement.
Create internal and external organizational communications through a wide range of channels including memos, announcements, Town Halls.
Manage business planning and operations (e.g., annual budget and planning, risk and finance reviews, leadership updates).
Build strong working relationships across the group, as well as with business partner groups to maximize collaboration, problem solving and generate solutions to deliver results.
Lead other ad-hoc projects that are department wide priorities as well as projects requiring strategic analysis and data consolidation.
Serve as a thought partner to the SVP and the extended leadership team
Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrated strategic thinking and analytical skills, ideally with 5 years of experience in strategic analysis, consulting, communications and/or project management related roles.
Superior project management and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with great follow-up and attention to detail, and work well in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
Strong drive and high personal accountability to deliver results within tight timeframes; ability to prioritize effectively when faced with changing priorities.
Superior written and verbal communication skills, including ability to storyboard presentations.
Excellent relationship and influencing skills for dealing with a wide range of issues and people at different levels; proven ability to navigate effectively and efficiently within American Express.
Creative problem solver who can manage tasks and projects autonomously with minimal supervision.
Energetic, curious, self-motivated, proactive and able to work well under pressure and in an unstructured environment.
Strong executive presence, maturity, self-awareness, and integrity – able to maintain strict confidentiality
Qualifications
Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
