NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing Dining Manager in New York, New York

Position Summary

The Dining Manager ensures that dining operations at the University's Manhattan and Brooklyn campuses are aligned with regulatory and operational standards through the quality assurance program. Partner with third-party vendors and hold vendors accountable to agreed-upon service levels and NYU’s expectations. Partner with the NYU community to ensure that the dining program mets the needs of NYU students, faculty, and staff. Ensure efficient operations for the 23+ dining locations and catering kitchens across campus. Oversee food vendor operations, menus and programming, customer service, and client relations. Serve as the liaison and manage the contract with vending service providers for snacks, beverages, and sundries including the placement, installation, and removal of 200+ machines across 45+ locations. Work with vendor partners to ensure all kitchen equipment and systems are in good, safe working order.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Required Experience:

3+ years relevant experience in the hospitality or dining industry. Experience managing third party vendors, projects, and processes.

Preferred Experience:

3+ years Hospitality management experience. Previous experience working with third party vendors.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Effective communication skills when working with all levels of the University and vendor partners. Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations. Knowledge of NYC Department of Health Food Service requirements.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Verbal and written communications skills, presentation skills, time management, organizational skills and vendor management skills.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $76,500.00 to USD $93,500.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
