It started as an NYC salon and evolved into a multi-million dollar brand comprised of 2 salons, a product company that houses a strong in-house creative agency, a direct sales force, and a university for hairdressers and salon owners.

Key Responsibilities:

Education :

  • Attend weekly technical education classes on advanced styling, cutting and coloring.

  • Identify and schedule appropriate models for weekly classes. Approximately 4-6 models are required for class each week.

  • Must present an appropriate image of fashion and style that is polished, professional and representative of the Bumble and bumble culture at all times.

  • Required to use inspirational reference material and document before and after images of each model and work performed during class.

In-Salon :

  • Support, communicate and model the Bumble and bumble mission and values.

  • Coordinates all Salon operation efforts with fellow apprentices and assistants.

  • Supports all Salon related requests from any hairdresser including seating clients, shampooing clients, assuring clients are comfortable and offered beverage service.

  • Supports positive synergy between cut and color departments including supporting Blow-Drying, Color blow-dry’s, cross service promotions.

  • Coordinate daily cutting and color floor logistics to ensure efficient operations.

  • Assure consistent execution of the ‘Ideal Client Experience’ creating a high touch customer service experience that is efficient, helpful, friendly, courteous and professional.

  • Recommends and implements process improvements to maximize quality and timely service delivery.

  • Complies with established operational policies and procedures.

  • Consistently inspects color and cutting floor areas to ensure the department is operating effectively by assuring the stylists workspace (including look up stations and trolleys) is clean, neat, organized and professionally presented.

  • Assure magazines, counters, cabinets, closets, forms supply, back-bar products and coat-check area are maintained in a clean and organized fashion.

  • Communicates as needed with stock room supervisor to ensure appropriate stock levels of retail and back-bar are maintained.

  • Reports to Cutting and Color floor coordinators any client recovery needs/issues and demonstrates excellent customer service.

  • Listen and promptly respond to client complaints and supports all client recovery, follow up and follow through.

  • Supports completion all housekeeping needs including dishwashing and sweeping of floors.

  • Support Salons retail plan by partnering with hairdressers on educating clients on products and assuring every client is issued a recommendation, prescription sheet.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent technical styling and/or color skills

  • Excellent customer service, communication, organizational, and time management skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment including evenings and weekends.

  • This position requires moderate physical effort. Including frequent standing, some unpacking and packing of materials are required when restocking the floor supplies.

Education and Experience:

  • Experience in beauty industry preferred

  • Must obtain a current cosmetology license issued by the state of NY.

Anticipated Hourly Range $15.00 to $19.80 (Depending on qualifications, skills, experience and/or budget).
