Robert Half Customer Service Coordinator in New York, New York

Description We are on the hunt for a diligent Customer Support Coordinator to join our team in New York. This role is central to our operations within the dispatch and customer service industry, where you will be responsible for scanning paperwork, printing manifests, assisting couriers, and addressing issues and concerns through email correspondence. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, where you will gain a deep understanding of New York city roads and streets, and work closely with carriers, hospitals, and labs.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately scan and manage paperwork

• Print manifests as required

• Act as the first point of contact for couriers, addressing their issues and concerns

• Maintain professional email correspondence with all stakeholders

• Use MS Office/Excel to manage and organize information

• Ensure all routes are covered, and driver check-in is completed and communicated to the customer on time

• Create and monitor route changes and communicate them to the Dispatch department and drivers

• Inspect vehicles to ensure customer specifications are met

• Monitor driver compliance with all customer regulations

• Assist with contracting of additional drivers

• Complete daily service reports as required by the customer

• Create and process administrative reports and paperwork as directed

• Ensure that all drivers paperwork is up to date and all drivers are in uniform with visible ID badge. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years experience in a customer service role

• Proficient in document scanning and printing tasks

• Able to manage email correspondence efficiently and professionally

• Demonstrated ability to resolve customer service issues effectively

• Experience in dispatching tasks or related roles

• Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to engage with customers and build rapport

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively

• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies or procedures

• Ability to work well in a team environment and contribute to team goals

• High level of responsibility, accountability, and professionalism

• Flexibility to work in shifts, if required.
