Job Background CTI Business

Citi Treasury Investments (CTI) within Corporate Treasury manages Citi’s major liquidity portfolios with oversight from Citi’s ALCOs. This involves managing the portfolios to meet all necessary regulatory requirements while achieving attractive risk adjusted returns. The team also conducts hedging and positioning activities for the firm at a global level to protect the firm against long term shifts in the macro environment. CTI’s Capital Markets team manages Citi’s Benchmark Debt issuance and Credit Card Securitization programs. CTI manages AFS and HTM investment securities across a variety of sectors such as US Treasuries, Agencies and MBS, as well as a range of Credit instruments such as Foreign Government Bonds, CLOs, Covered Bonds, and others.

Job Description

The CTI Analytics Business Execution/Business Management will be involved in key business initiatives driving implementation of both strategic and tactical solutions on behalf of the business.

The candidate will also support the day-to-day business oversight, supervision, and governance. This will include having a key role in a large effort to standardize and enhance CTI’s control framework and ensure that it is robust, efficient, and compliant with internal standards and/or regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the end-to-end documentation of business critical, supervisory, and control processes.

  • Interact with Operational Risk Management and other Control groups (e.g., Compliance) to drive forward control enhancement initiatives and investigate control failures.

  • Assist in the development/maintenance/enhancement of business controls, while developing a knowledge of best practices in control execution and exceptions remediation.

  • Liaise with Product Control, Operations, and Technology to remediate related issues, errors, system enhancements, and data concerns.

  • Act as Risk Subject Matter Expert on Business and Regulatory Transformation projects.

  • Develops a high level of expertise in the various systems CTI uses to transact.

  • Prepare material and metrics for monthly Senior Management Business Forums.

  • Works with members of the various disciplines to identify ways to streamline and automate process flows to create more accurate and timely results, as well as improving efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • 3-7 years of experience within financial services or consulting

  • Change Management, Process Development, and Regulatory exposure preferred

  • Understanding of trade lifecycle and product knowledge (fixed income)

  • Experience communicating with senior managers and program sponsors

  • Significant intellectual curiosity and desire to learn how Citi Treasury functions

  • Superior attention to detail

  • Must be a strong influencer and have partnering skills

  • Abstract critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Technical skills a plus: MS Visio, Tableau, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint

$142,320.00 - $213,480.00
