Citigroup Credit Risk Senior Analyst in Irving, Texas

Citibank, N.A. seeks a Credit Risk Senior Analyst for its Irving, TX location.

Duties: Assess the credit and financial strength of large corporate, public sector, and financial institution clients by performing analysis of financial reports, comps performance, and other risk measurements. Monitor client portfolios including the production of annual reviews and quarterly reviews, and provide support to ad-hoc transactions, portfolio and industry reviews, and stress testing. Assess the credit and financial strength of Citi’s most complex clients by performing fundamental credit analysis of counterparties using both quantitative and qualitative factors. Complete credit analysis write-up memos and final obligor risk ratings of Citi’s counterparties based on independent assessment and judgement completed on due diligence of the client and industry knowledge to provide appropriate extensions of credit remaining within risk appetite. Conduct continuous monitoring of the covered portfolio including following industry trends, impacts to key relationships, and escalation of potential credit issues to Credit Risk Team Leads and ICG Risk and Banking, Capital Markets, and Advisory partners. Collaborate with regional and industry stakeholders in the implementation of credit assessment and monitoring standards for applicable portfolios. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Analytics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation in the finance industry. Employer will accept a Master’s degree in meeting the Bachelor’s degree requirement. Two (2) years of experience must include: Interpreting financial statements including balance sheets, income, and cash flow statements; Building spreadsheets utilizing Excel to evaluate financial data, calculate critical ratios, and project financial performance to determine the level of default risk; Performing validation of financial data and risk-weighted assets projections. Interpreting complex financial models to assess a company’s capital needs and potential stress scenarios; Performing risk assessments for public companies including credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk, and operational risk; Working with financial products and instruments including stocks, bonds, derivatives, loans, and mortgages; and Utilizing US Basel rules/regulations in performing macroeconomic and risk measure analytics, capital forecasting analytics, and assessing market/credit risk. 40 hrs./wk.
