Citigroup CRE Warehouse Senior Analyst in New York, New York

  • The CRE Warehouse Senior Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for assisting clients in capital markets executions, as well as in providing strategic advisory services / support for mergers, acquisitions and other types of financial transactions in coordination with the Investment Banking / Institutional Banking teams. The CRE Warehouse Associate / Analyst also serves as an intermediary for clients. The overall objective of this role is to act as a strategic advisor by assisting clients in capital markets executions (warehouse, CLO, conduit), providing support to senior Directors as needed, and ensuring all operational processes proceed smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with senior Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) officers and professionals and participate in particular client transactions, projects or assignments as the junior member of the Investment Banking team

  • Responsible for organizing and analyzing sophisticated financial data used in client proposals and strategic plans

  • Prepare written recommendations, valuation materials and statistical exhibits for pitches and live deals

  • Conduct economic/financial research

  • Evaluate company’s financial performance compared to overall industry and market trends

  • Build complex financial models for valuation purposes

  • Perform periodic loan surveillance, including re-underwriting and commentary on deal performance.

  • Ad hoc projects, which may include loan servicing, loan administration, future fundings, amendments/modifications/extensions, payoffs, documentation, etc.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or closely related areas of Business Administration

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment in order to meet deadlines

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Self-motivated and driven; Superior written and verbal communication skills

  • Exceptional ability to collaborate across functions; Superior analytical and problem-solving skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Citibank is looking for an Analyst to work with our Commercial Mortgage Warehouse Group. The candidate will work with senior members of our group and with the group’s clients to finance commercial mortgage loans on our commercial mortgage warehouse facilities.

Responsibilities include underwriting and due diligence of commercial properties and underlying mortgage loans, preparing and presenting approval memorandum for both advances against loans and the warehouse lines we provide to our clients. Additional responsibilities include supporting our middle office, Risk, and CLO functions with respect to our clients.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates are generally required to have a BA/BS, preferably with a major in real estate, business, accounting or economics.

  • Proficiency with Excel and preferably some exposure to Argus.

  • Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to multitask.

  • Excellent writing and presentation skills.
