CRE, Agency Originations Senior Director

Capital One is active in all aspects of commercial real estate lending with extensive experience in permanent, transitional and construction loans for a broad range of projects including multifamily housing, retail, office buildings, student housing, industrial and parking facilities. Our Agency Finance Team is an integral part of Capital One's broader Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Business and is one of the largest originators of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA loans.

The Senior Director Agency Originator will be responsible for sourcing and originating Agency loans with a focus on the Agencies' affordable housing products. They will also be responsible for collaborating with the Community Finance and balance sheet teams to establish a market presence, and provide a full suite of products to existing and new clients.

Capital One's Commercial Bank looks for its leaders to demonstrate client focus, inspirational leadership, integrated problem solving and market expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect for new borrower relationships within market to stimulate deal flow

  • Manage and cultivate existing borrower relationships

  • Develop and expand a network of referral sources/centers of influence

  • Structure Agency loans through our wide array of lending products

  • Develop and close new business

  • Participate in professional organizations to gain visibility and enhance the Capital One brand

  • Ensure alignment with overall CRE strategy

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience

  • At least 10 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate debt originations

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 11 years of experience in Multifamily Agency originations

  • Experience in Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Ginnie Mae Multifamily Affordable products

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.New York City (Hybrid On-Site):
$100,000 - $150,000 for Originations Manager I
Los Angeles - incl. Newport Beach, California (Hybrid On-Site):
$100,000 - $150,000 for Originations Manager ICandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
