Position Summary

Under general supervision, coordinates and administers contracts from proposal review and submission through award.

Job Responsibilities

  • Reviews contracts agreement packages to ensure adherence to Weill Cornell Medicine branding and policies and to sponsor requirements.

  • Handles complex and non-complex agreements. Prepares and negotiates contractual agreements with Prime sites and subsites on behalf of WCMC General Counsel.

  • Negotiates terms and conditions for new or revised sponsor awards on behalf of WCMC General Counsel.

  • Coordinates and seeks advisement from General Counsel and/or any other contracts specialty department or leadership to ensure appropriate language and timely execution of contracts.

  • May review terms and conditions of new contractual agreements and evaluate changes to pre-existing agreements. May review and negotiate new clinical research agreements. May collaborate with international agencies as is required for the agreement.

  • May collaborate with principle investigators and their staff to ensure appropriate and timely responses.

  • Acts as the liaison between sponsors and WCM for research processing operations including both pre-award and post-award.

  • Trains and mentors staff on contract agreement review and processing.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field

Experience

  • Prior experience and/or understanding of contracts negotiation.
